Since its foundation in January 2017, our little shop has embarked on a journey from “Mamita Made Materials” to “ArtisaLENA”.

The seed of this project sprouted from a pressing question: how can we truly support our mothers? Many of them were seeking employment or financial assistance. Since then, we have been providing them with the necessary materials, and they engage with these creatively. In exchange for their craftsmanship, they receive proper compensation, which not only improves their financial situation but also enhances their self-confidence and self-worth.

In 2023, we took a new step forward. In addition to the valued contributions of the mothers, we are now embracing the creativity and potential of children with disabilities, and consequently changing our name to “ArtisaLENA.”

From ecological and natural shampoo bars to homemade soap and carefully dried tea – everything is infused with the loving efforts of these young individuals. The essence of this new chapter is the pursuit of social and occupational integration, the teaching of new skills, and the ability to actively participate in the job market, becoming full-fledged members of the community.
